Welcome to Amere Cocker Spaniels, located in Richmond, Indiana. I am dedicated to preserving the beauty, temperament, structure, and wonderful personality that make the American Cocker Spaniel such a beloved breed.

My goal is simple: to raise healthy, happy, well-socialized Cocker Spaniels that become cherished members of their families.

The American Cocker Spaniel is known for its cheerful, affectionate personality and beautiful appearance. As the smallest member of the Sporting Group, the Cocker combines elegance and athleticism with the qualities that make it an exceptional companion. 

Raised in My Home, Raised With Love

At Amere Cocker Spaniels, our puppies are raised inside my home as part of our family. From their earliest days, they receive individual attention, daily socialization, and exposure to the sights and sounds of a busy household.

I believe the first weeks of a puppy’s life are incredibly important. Our puppies are given the opportunity to develop confidence, learn appropriate social skills, and begin their journey toward becoming wonderful family companions.

Puppies remain with us until they have received their second set of vaccinations. Vaccination records are provided with each puppy at the time of placement.

A Commitment to Health

Health is an important part of my breeding program. I believe responsible breeding requires careful consideration of both health and quality when selecting our breeding dogs.

The American Spaniel Club recommends regular screening for inherited eye and orthopedic conditions, including ophthalmologist examinations and hip evaluations. The AKC likewise lists hip and ophthalmologist evaluations among the recommended health tests for Cocker Spaniels. 

My commitment is to continually evaluate our breeding program and make thoughtful decisions that support the long-term health and preservation of the breed.

Preserving the Cocker Spaniel

I believe breeding should be about more than producing beautiful puppies. It should be about preserving what makes the Cocker Spaniel special—sound structure, a merry and affectionate temperament, beauty, athletic ability, and the wonderful companionship this breed has provided for generations.

Every breeding is carefully planned with the goal of producing puppies that reflect the qualities we value while contributing positively to the future of the breed.

Finding the Right Family

Choosing a puppy is an important decision, and I take placement seriously. Our puppy purchase process includes an application, phone interview, personal references, and a veterinarian reference when applicable. A securely fenced yard is required.

I carefully consider each application because our priority is finding the right match between each puppy and its new family.

We are looking for families who understand that bringing a Cocker Spaniel into their home is a long-term commitment filled with companionship, responsibility, and love.
